BLESSINGS FOR A CHRIST-FILLED EASTER!

Easter is our greatest Christian feast. As Saint Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:14, "If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain." Without Easter—without the Resurrection of Christ—there would be no Christian Faith. Christ's Resurrection is the proof of His Divinity”.   Amen!

Today, at our Easter Liturgy, we had an "Encounter with Christ". These are our thoughts and reflections about Holy Week and the meaning of Easter.

Elizabeth - Easter to me means God and Forgiveness.
Paige - Easter to me means a time to celebrate Jesus' life and to show our four Core Values.
Jayda - Easter to me is a time to forgive and show love, just like Jesus did when he died for us.
Tirzah - Easter to me is about our salvation and the firm foundation of Catholicism.
Hailee-Renee - Easter to me is a time to focus on Jesus and the sacrifice He made for us.
Asela - Easter to me means that on the third day, Jesus rose up from the dead and  we can ask Jesus for forgiveness.
Jahzeel - Easter to me means Jesus sacrificed His life for us.
Lasi-Praise - Easter to me is a time to reflect upon Jesus' death on the cross.
Annabelle - Easter to me means that God loved us so much that he sacrificed his only son to save us.
Epi - Easter to me means forgiving and loving each other just like Jesus.
Blessing - Easter to me is like a sacrifice because Jesus sacrificed his life for us.
Teuila - Easter to me means sacrifice because Jesus sacrificed himself to save us from sin.
Dominique - Easter to me means forgiveness. Jesus forgave us and gave up his life for us so that we can be saved from our sins.
Connie-Vaai - Easter to me means following in Jesus' footsteps and loving each other as he has loved us.
Princess - Easter to me means that Jesus died for our sins and he gave up his life for us.
Malia - Easter to me means forgiveness and to love others and yourself.
Trinity - Easter to me means the death of Jesus and how he sacrificed his own life for us.
Chrisllaine - Easter to me means my saviour and redeemer dying on the cross for my sins and when he rose again, my soul rejoices and my heart is filled with love, faith, hope and joy.
Danny-Elle - Easter to me means that Jesus died to save us from our sins and it is wonderful to know that GOD loves us all so much.
Katherine - Easter to me means that Jesus died for us on the cross to save us from our sins and we can rejoice "He has risen" on Easter Sunday.
Jenaya - Easter to me means 'praise the Lord for what he has done for us!" We should always act like Jesus towards others.
Jacinta - Easter to me means God died for us so that we can have salvation and receive the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.

As their teacher and Faith leader at our school, I praise God for the beauty of all the girls in Room 11.

We share our Easter Sunday Prayer with you. Please pray this together with your family.

Lord we lift our hearts to you. As the dawn breaks, may we carry the unity we share into every moment knowing that we are one with the risen Christ.

Lord, we lift our eyes to you. As the sunrises, may this moment stay with us, reminding us to look for the beautiful colours of promise in your word.

Lord, we lift our prayers to you. As the dew air falls, may we breathe in and know that like the earth, you sustain us, keep us and work within us always.

And so, we lift our voices to you. We celebrate the greatest day in history, when Jesus rose from death, defeated darkness and bathed the world in stunning resurrection light. May we ever live to praise you!

Amen.
